Frontier Hotel 1942-2007

"This is the end result of all the bright lights... and the comp trips, of all the champagne... and free hotel suites,
and all the broads and all the booze. It's all been arranged just for us to get your money.
That's the truth about Las Vegas. We're the only winners. The players don't stand a chance. "

Las Vegas Car of the Week #15

I have no idea what this thing is except it seems to be related to a Corvette.  Not sure if I like it or not, but it makes an interesting photo....  It was parked at the top of the Bellagio parking garage.

Guess the Las Vegas Casino #4

This one should be pretty easy to figure out.  This is what greets you when you park your car in their garage  and head toward an elevator to get down to the casino.  This property is located near the Las Vegas Strip.  On the weekends the casino looks like it is hosting a gang convention.

Nice Job MGM Resorts International...

Check out this mess right next to the Harmon Tower -- clearly visible from the pedistrian walkways that lead over to Aria and City Center.  Here's this supposedly high end luxury hotel complex and and they can't be bothered to clean up this mess?  Then it rains for four days and makes it even worse.  Way to go MGM -- nice property upkeep...  I am sure guests at the Cosmopolitan next door enjoy this pile of crap from their rooms that face in this direction...

Another Interesting Billboard...

I still think the Studio 54 billboard takes the prize, but this one is pretty nice also.  I bet there are lots of "Happy Endings" at this place, especially when people get their bar tab at 4:00 a.m. and it's over $1000.

If you are curious about the Studio 54 billboard go this post:

Las Vegas Strip – Random Photos

I found myself on the LV Strip the other day and took a few photos of the all the interesting people.   Enjoy the photos with commentary…

Early afternoon is a popular time for smokers to light up.  I am trying to figure out which of these smokers should be selected as “ LV smoker of the week.”  Let me know which one you like.

This guy was smoking two cigarettes at the same time.  Figured he must be homeless and pinched two used cigs out an ashtray or something…

This couple were wearing these masks.  Maybe the smoking all around them was bothering them?

Sign Dudes:  I had never seen this before.  A group of guys walk around a straight line with these advertising signs on their backs.  It looks kind of stupid, but if works to get their message out to masses…

These Elvis impersonators are everywhere.  I have yet to see one that pulls it off.

This guy had quite the head of hair – not sure if it’s a toop or not.  He looks like some wiseguy going to make a collection..

“Live music” is also available on the bridges that lead over to City Center…

The range of fashions on the LV Strip is quite spectacular given the millions of people that visit the city each year from all over the world.  Apparently this couple thought it was St. Patrick’s Day….

Guess the Las Vegas Casino #3

This is a locals hotel, not the Gold Coast.

Las Vegas Abandoned Construction Site #9

This hideous eyesore sits at Warm Springs and Bermuda.  The shell of the building was completed, painted, and then abandoned.  I think this project was a hotel or maybe an office complex?

Las Vegas Car of the Week #13

A Las Vegas classic:  1970's Lincoln Continental, 2 door.  Could see some wiseguy driving this ride around town making collections back in the day.
